Typhoon hit Japan yesterday evening. For safety reasons our Uni. was closed after mid day. Typhoon was one of the largest ever observed in Japan. Fortunately it passed Kyushu far at the eastern sea, so all we got here was rain and wind.
As I've never experienced a typhoon before it was a must to go and see one, despite that all people were asked to remain inside from the evening till the next morning. So out we went and walked towards the sea. Closer the sea a strong wind blew constantly and it was quite rainy. The ocean was restless, throwing all kind of trash to shore. At the end, however, it was a bit disappointing. We didn't see any trees flying or roofs being torn. Quite like an ordinary autumn evening in Finland... Some areas of Japan got more damage but nothing severe. That night in Aichi a truck fell because of wind and my umbrella was used for the last time...
